Building on the success of the inaugural event in Johannesburg, more delegates from across Africa were invited to attend training at the Africa Society for Blood Transfusion’s Collaborating Center in Kigali, Rwanda. During the week-long event, participants were exposed to best practice at one of Africa’s foremost services and also heard on a range of topics from local and international experts from Africa, Europe and the US. Participants committed to sharing knowledge with colleagues upon return to their home blood services.
